The elf who would not give up
Dobby first appeared in Harry's bedroom in the summer before his second year, trying to warn him not to go back to Hogwarts. He did it in his own way, so the Dursleys' dinner party ended with a smashed pudding and Harry locked in his room. He still served the Malfoy family at the time, yet he took risks for Harry: he sealed the barrier to the platform and bewitched a Bludger during a Quidditch match, all to get him out of Hogwarts and into safety. His methods were desperate, but his intentions were always good.
The plush keychain in the set captures him exactly as every fan pictures him: big ears, big eyes and an expression you never tire of. It is made by the French brand Cinereplicas, measures 11 × 8 cm and has a loop to clip onto keys, a bag or a backpack. It works just as well as a little plush toy on a shelf, so it delights children and adults alike.
What's inside the trunk
- Dobby socks, set of 3 pairs - unisex, EU 35 - 45, mid-height, 98% polyester, 2% elastane
- Plush Dobby keychain - 11 × 8 cm, 100% polyester, with a key loop
- Dobby mug - ceramic, 315 ml, 12 × 9 × 11 cm, dishwasher and microwave safe
- Large Hogwarts trunk - with a bow, 24 × 22 × 10 cm
The Cinereplicas socks tell Dobby's story across three pairs: grey with Dobby holding a sock and the words “Dobby is free”, light blue with the pudding from the Dursleys' dinner party, and green with the line “Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends” from his rescue at Malfoy Manor. The universal EU 35 - 45 size fits both women and men, so there is no need to guess a size when choosing the gift.
Dobby has no master
At the end of his second year, Harry hid a sock inside Tom Riddle's diary and handed it to Lucius Malfoy. Lucius threw the sock away, Dobby caught it and became a free elf. That is when he spoke his famous line, “Dobby has no master, Dobby is a free elf”, which you will find on the mug in the set alongside his picture. The ceramic mug by Pyramid holds 315 ml, has a white base with green and orange lettering and is dishwasher and microwave safe, so it will be used every day.
The set is a ready-made gift for birthdays, Christmas, the end of the school year or just because: the socks, mug and keychain stay in use, and the large trunk with its bow can keep holding small treasures. If you would like to add a few personal words, write them in the order note and, for an extra charge, we will include them in an envelope sealed with wax. The message is also available as a separate product.
