Each PME Cakes pack holds flat printed picks mounted on wooden sticks. Push them into the top of a cupcake, a muffin or a full-size cake. They are decorative rather than edible, so they come out before the cake is cut.

Picks, candles or edible decorations?
Three ways to finish a cake, and they solve different problems.
Toppers (picks)
Cheapest to use and the clearest motif, because the print is flat and detailed. Not edible — remove before slicing.
Cake candles
For the birthday moment itself. They sit in their own category and pair with the same house crests.
Edible decorations
Gum-paste figures and edible-paper characters that stay on the cake and get eaten with it. Choose these when a pick would get in the way of cutting.
A note on sizes
All picks are approximately 4.5 × 5.5 cm. On a cupcake that is large enough to be the whole decoration. On a 20 cm cake, plan on five or six picks spread across the top rather than one in the middle.

Are the toppers edible?
No. They are printed paper on a wooden stick and should be taken out before the cake is cut. For something that stays on the cake, look at the edible gum-paste and edible-paper decorations.
How many picks does one cake need?
One per cupcake. For a 20 cm round cake, five or six spread across the top looks deliberate; a single pick in the centre tends to look lost.
Which pack suits a mixed group of children?
The 15-pick pack with all five crests. Each child can take the house they identify with, which is half the fun.
Can I reuse them?
If the icing has not soaked the paper, yes. Wipe the stick and keep them flat. They are sold as a decoration rather than a keepsake, though.
Do the heroes and villains packs overlap?
No. They are two separate packs of 15, one with the main characters on Harry’s side and one with the antagonists.
How do you say cake topper in Czech?
