Expecto Patronum
The spell that answers despair with a memory. This collection gathers the items built around the Patronus Charm, several of which only reveal the stag when something changes — heat on a mug, darkness around a notebook.

The spell behind the collection
Expecto Patronum is the charm that drives off Dementors. It cannot be cast on anger or fear; it requires the caster to hold a single, powerful happy memory while speaking it. That is what makes it the most quoted spell in the series — the defence works only if you can find something good to think about.
Remus Lupin teaches it to Harry privately in Prisoner of Azkaban, after the Dementor on the Hogwarts Express. Harry’s Patronus takes the form of a stag, the same form his father’s Animagus shape took — which is why the stag, rather than the words, is the image on most of these products.
What changes when you use it
Colour-changing mug, 460 ml
Ceramic, approximately 12 × 10 × 10 cm, by ABYstyle. The motif changes with the temperature: pour in something hot and the Patronus appears. Not suitable for the dishwasher or the microwave — both destroy the thermal coating.
Colour-changing notebook
The same principle applied to a cover, by ABYstyle.
Lumos notebook, glowing
By Grupo Erik. The cover glows in the dark rather than reacting to heat, which makes it the one item here that works on a bedside table.
Expecto Patronum mug and coasters
A plain ceramic mug with the spell and a set of coasters by Pyramid — for anyone who would rather not hand-wash a thermal mug.
One practical warning
Thermal colour-changing coatings are the single most commonly ruined thing we sell, and always the same way: a dishwasher. Hot water and detergent strip the layer and the effect does not come back. Hand wash in warm water, and the mug keeps working for years.

Frequently asked questions
How does the colour-changing mug work?
A thermal coating over the print. Cold, the mug shows one image; filled with a hot drink, the coating turns clear and the Patronus appears. It resets as the mug cools.
Can the mug go in the dishwasher?
No, and this matters. A dishwasher strips the thermal layer permanently. Hand wash in warm water and it will keep working for years. The same applies to the microwave.
What form does Harry’s Patronus take?
A stag — the same shape his father James took as an Animagus. It is the image used on most of the products in this collection.
Who teaches Harry the spell?
Remus Lupin, in private lessons during Prisoner of Azkaban, after Harry collapses when a Dementor boards the Hogwarts Express.
What is the difference between the colour-changing and the glowing items?
The colour-changing items react to heat; the Lumos notebook glows in the dark after being exposed to light. Different effect, different product.
How do you say Expecto Patronum in Czech?
The spell is kept in Latin in the Czech translation, as in English. The Patronus is called patron, and a Dementor is a mozkomor.
Are these officially licensed?
Yes. Every item carries an official Wizarding World licence from Warner Bros.
