The elf who would not be shaken off
Dobby turned up at Harry's house during the summer before his second year, trying to warn him not to go back to Hogwarts. He did it his own way, so the evening ended with a ruined dinner and Harry locked in his room. His freedom came in the end from a sock that Harry smuggled inside a diary and that Lucius Malfoy threw away.
The house-elf who served the Malfoy family went on to become one of the best-loved characters in the story — both for the loyalty with which he looked after Harry and for the way he spoke about himself in the third person. This Cinereplicas plush keychain captures his film appearance: the large eyes, the protruding ears and a soft plush surface. It is produced under official Warner Bros. licence.
Key features
- Size 11 × 8 cm, plush figure with a clip
- 100% polyester, soft plush
- Dual purpose: a keychain and a decorative plush figure
- Metal ring and carabiner for attaching
- Dobby motif based on the film appearance
The 11 × 8 cm size is a compromise that works: the figure is large enough to be noticed on a backpack and small enough not to get in the way in a bag. The clip and carabiner move easily between keys and bag.
On keys, on a backpack and as a gift
A plush keychain is one of the few Harry Potter items a fan carries every single day. On a set of keys it helps you find the bunch in a bag, on a backpack it tells your own apart from the others in the cloakroom, and on a shelf or a desk it works as a small piece of decoration. The soft plush takes everyday handling, because there is nothing on it to press or peel.
As a gift it has the advantage of suiting almost any occasion and almost anyone: a birthday, Christmas, an advent calendar, the end of the school year, or no reason at all. It is also a good way to round out a larger present and split one order into several smaller thoughts. For younger children it is a first plush figure from the wizarding world that survives life in a school bag.
