Format, binding and paper
A5 is the standard here — roughly 15 by 21 cm, which fits a bag without dominating it. Sheet counts run from 90 to 120, and a sheet is two pages, so a 100-sheet notebook gives you 200 sides to write on.
Hard bindings in faux leather are what make these feel like objects rather than stationery, and they survive being carried daily. Where a notebook has a pen loop, an elastic closure or coloured page edges, the product page says so. The paper in the premium editions is heavy enough for fountain pen without feathering.
