Harry Potter Party Tableware
Disposable tableware is what turns a birthday table into a Hogwarts one without anything to wash up afterwards. Paper plates, cups, napkins and tablecloths with Hogwarts crests, Hedwig and the characters. For every pack we state how many pieces it holds and what size they are.

Working out what you need
Party tableware is bought by headcount, so the piece count matters more than the design. Packs here hold eight as a rule, which covers a typical children’s party; for more guests, buy multiples rather than hoping one pack stretches.
- Plates — paper, in packs of eight, with Hedwig, Harry and Hogwarts designs.
- Cups — paper, 250 ml, in packs of eight.
- Napkins — the cheapest way to repeat the theme across the table.
- Tablecloths — one covers the whole table and does more visual work than anything else in the category.
- Party sets — plates, cups and napkins together, which saves working out the combination.
A practical note on paper
Paper cups and plates are for cold food and drinks and for anything at room temperature. They are not suitable for the microwave or for hot drinks, and a hot cup will soften. For hot drinks use the ceramic mugs instead.
A paper tablecloth covers a table once; if the party involves younger children and spilled drinks, it is worth having a spare rather than trying to wipe one down.
Putting the table together
The combination that reads best is a tablecloth, matching plates and napkins, and cake candles as the centrepiece — the tablecloth sets the colour and everything else repeats it. Photo booth props and balloons do more for the photographs than extra tableware does, so if the budget is fixed, cover the table first and spend the rest on those.
