Harry Potter Edible Cake Decorations and Sprinkles
Decorations that stay on the cake and get eaten with it: gum-paste figures of the main characters, edible-paper prints, and sugar sprinkles shaped like magical objects. Every item lists its ingredients, nutrition and allergens, because this is food rather than a decoration.

Three kinds of edible decoration
Gum-paste figures (6 pieces)
Moulded edible gum paste, approximately 4.5 × 5.5 cm each. Motifs: main characters, villains, Hogwarts, Harry Potter and the Horcruxes. Thick enough to stand slightly proud of the icing.
Edible paper (24 pieces)
Two sheets of printed edible paper with 24 character figures to cut out and lay flat on buttercream or fondant. The sharpest print of the three, and the easiest to place.
Sugar sprinkles
Mixed shapes and colours of magical objects, sold as a 60 g box or a sachet. Scattered over icing rather than placed.
Ingredients and allergens
These are food products, so the detail belongs on the page rather than in the small print.
- Gum-paste figures — icing sugar, water, glucose, thickeners (E466, E406, E414) and colours. Energy approximately 1700 kJ / 406 kcal per 100 g.
- Allergens in the gum paste — may contain traces of gluten (wheat, barley), egg, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts and sulphur dioxide/sulphites.
- Sprinkles — contain soya (emulsifier E322). Energy approximately 1656 kJ / 396 kcal per 100 g.
- Each product page carries the complete list, the nutrition table and the pack weight. If you are baking for someone with an allergy, read the page rather than the category.
How they sit on a cake
Place gum-paste figures on set icing shortly before serving — on a very wet buttercream they soften over several hours. Edible paper goes on last of all and should stay dry until then. Sprinkles can go on at any point, and are the one item here that also works on cupcakes, doughnuts and hot chocolate.

Frequently asked questions
Are these actually edible, or just food safe?
Edible. The gum-paste figures and the edible paper are made to be eaten with the cake, and the sprinkles are sugar confectionery. Full ingredients are on each product page.
Where can I find the allergen information?
On the individual product page, together with the nutrition table and the pack weight. The sprinkles contain soya; the gum-paste figures may contain traces of gluten, egg, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts and sulphites.
When should I put the decorations on?
Gum-paste figures and edible paper go on shortly before serving, onto icing that has set. Sprinkles can go on whenever you like.
What is the difference between the gum-paste figures and the edible paper?
The gum paste is moulded and stands slightly above the surface; the paper is flat with a sharper printed image. Twenty-four paper figures cover a large cake or a whole tray of cupcakes, where a pack of six gum-paste figures suits one cake.
Can I use the sprinkles on something other than cake?
Yes — cupcakes, doughnuts, iced biscuits, hot chocolate and ice cream all work. They are ordinary sugar sprinkles in wizarding-world shapes.
How do you say edible decorations in Czech?
Jedle ozdoby. The sprinkles are posypky, and cukrove zdobeni is the term for sugar decorating as a whole.
Are these officially licensed?
Yes, every pack carries the official Wizarding World licence from Warner Bros.
