The editions
- A witch has been born and a wizard has been born — comforter sets for a new arrival, the most bought version.
- Baby Dobby — the same idea built around the house-elf, in both editions.
- House welcome sets — welcome to Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, for parents who have already decided.
- Hedwig comforter set — the snowy owl version.
Why a trunk works for a new baby
A newborn gift is really a gift to the parents, and that changes what works. A trunk opens well in front of visitors, the contents are suitable from birth rather than something to store for two years, and the trunk itself becomes the box where the first keepsakes end up — the hospital tag, the first photos, the comforter when it is outgrown.
The contents are comforters and soft plush rated 0+, with CE certification and the EN 71 safety standard. Every set lists what is inside on the product page.
Care and safety
Comforters and plush in these sets are suitable from birth. Keep the packaging away from the child, and follow the care label on each item — plush with a sound element inside should be surface cleaned with a damp cloth rather than washed, so the mechanism stays dry.
A note in an envelope with a wax seal can be added to the order for a surcharge, which is the simplest way to put the parents’ names on it.
