The house
Ravenclaw looks for intelligence, wit and originality — a willingness to learn rather than raw cleverness. The colours are blue and bronze and the animal is the eagle; the house ghost is the Grey Lady.
Its members include Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Gilderoy Lockhart and Sybill Trelawney. Hermione Granger fits the Ravenclaw description closely and the Sorting Hat considered it, but she ended up in Gryffindor — which is the usual argument for the house being about curiosity rather than marks.
