Product detailed description
The Harry Potter Interactive Marauder's Map is a printed map from Wow! Stuff that comes with a UV wand: shine it across the parchment and footprints, secret passageways and hidden rooms appear exactly where the light falls. Unfolded it measures over one metre, and the three LR41 batteries are already in the box, so it works straight out of the packaging. Officially licensed Wizarding World™ product.
- UV wand reveals hidden print - footprints and passageways
- Over 1 metre wide unfolded, 14.8 × 23 × 0.15 cm folded
- Batteries 3× LR41 included in the box
- Suitable from 3 years
- Wow! Stuff, officially licensed Wizarding World™
How the map works
The parchment carries two layers of printing: the ordinary ink you can see in daylight, and a second layer that only shows under ultraviolet light. The wand supplied in the box emits exactly that light, so footprints, staircases and secret passageways surface wherever you point it - and fade again the moment you move the beam away.
That turns the map into something you play with rather than something you pin to a wall. Younger fans hunt for the passageways out of the castle; older ones compare the layout with what they remember from the books and films. Because the batteries are already fitted, there is nothing to buy and nothing to assemble before the first search begins.
Key Features

- Folded size 14.8 × 23 × 0.15 cm
- Contents: map, UV wand, 3× LR41 batteries
- Packed weight 0.4 kg

Folded, the map slips into a drawer or a bookshelf and takes up almost no room, which also makes it easy to wrap and easy to post. We stock the Marauder's Map motif on pencils, notebooks and textiles too, but this is the only version you can actually play with.
Choosing it as a gift
The Marauder's Map is one of the few Harry Potter objects that needs no further explanation. Anyone who has seen Prisoner of Azkaban recognises it, and unlike house merchandise it does not divide a room into Gryffindors and Slytherins - which makes it an easy choice when you do not know the recipient's house or favourite character.
Fred and George Weasley handed the map to Harry in that third story, having lifted it years earlier from the caretaker's collection of confiscated items. It is a gift with a good story attached, suitable from three years upwards, so it works for a child and for an adult collector alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the interactive Marauder's Map work?
The wand supplied in the box emits ultraviolet light. When you shine it across the parchment, footprints, secret passageways and rooms that are otherwise invisible appear, and they fade again once you move the wand away.
How big is the map when unfolded?
More than one metre across. Folded it measures 14.8 × 23 × 0.15 cm, so it stores easily in a drawer or on a bookshelf.
Are batteries included?
Yes. Three LR41 batteries come fitted in the box, so the wand works as soon as you unpack it. There is nothing else to buy and nothing to assemble.
Is the map suitable for children?
The recommended age is 3 and over. The map is printed paper and the wand is a simple UV torch, so it suits younger children as well as adult collectors.
Is this an officially licensed product?
Yes. It is an officially licensed Wizarding World™ product made by Wow! Stuff, so the artwork and the map's layout follow the original designs.
Why buy the interactive Marauder's Map at Svetkouzel.com?
