One crest for four houses
Every first-year who steps into the Great Hall at Hogwarts finds out in a single evening where they belong. The Sorting Hat places them in Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff - and from then on they share a dormitory, a common room and the race for the House Cup. The Hogwarts crest unites all four houses in a single emblem: the Gryffindor lion, the Slytherin serpent, the Ravenclaw eagle and the Hufflepuff badger.
This is the crest that decorates the sphere balloon. The gold print appears on both sides, so the crest is visible from every corner of the room, and the sphere itself is divided into four quarters in the house colours: red for Gryffindor, green for Slytherin, blue for Ravenclaw and yellow for Hufflepuff. One balloon carries the whole of Hogwarts - and at a Harry Potter birthday party, every guest will find their own house colour on it.
Balloon details
- Sphere shape - approx. 50 cm in diameter when inflated, approx. 75 cm before inflation
- Gold Hogwarts crest - printed on both sides of the balloon
- Four coloured quarters - yellow, red, blue and green, just like the four houses
- Helium or air - floats with helium, works as a hanging decoration with air
- Self-sealing - inflation straw included, with tabs for easy attachment
The sphere shape gives the balloon far more depth than a classic flat foil balloon, so it stands out in the room. A single 50 cm sphere fills the corner above the cake table as well as a whole bunch of smaller balloons.
Decorations for a Harry Potter party
The crest balloon is a simple way to turn a living room or party venue into a corner of Hogwarts. Filled with helium and tied to a ribbon, it floats above the refreshments table; filled with air, it can be hung on the wall, added to a balloon garland or placed in a photo corner. It pairs beautifully with other Harry Potter foil balloons - Hogwarts Castle, Platform 9 3/4 or the Quidditch set - and with plates, cups and napkins featuring the same crest.
If you are planning a party where guests are split into houses, this balloon makes the perfect centrepiece: all four houses are together on it, so nobody misses out. You can colour-code tables or teams by its quarters - red Gryffindor against green Slytherin, blue Ravenclaw against yellow Hufflepuff - and compete for the House Cup all afternoon.
